Warranty

Check AC power

If your laptop is not falling under the warranty period, the next step is to find out the source of the problem in the AC power supply. Simply plug in the AC adapter into the outlet to see whether any light can be seen in the transformer unit. If you can’t see the light, it means the transformer is burned out. 

Electrical Meter

This will help you in showing whether there is any electricity coming through the transformer. Just get an electrical meter and touch the ends of the AC adapter and it is recommended not to do it alone if you are not familiar with the method, perhaps local electronics shop can help.

Repairs

If your laptop is simply broken, that can be repaired too. Ship it to the Dell Repair centre and get it repaired or replaced.
